INNOCY is a consultancy and engineering firm with years of experience in the infrastructure market. They are involved in projects that keep The Netherlands accessible, liveable and safe, every day of the year. Our services range from consultancy in the research phase of a project and writing specifications to management and maintenance of an asset. Sustainability is the common thread in each of these projects.

An interview with business development manager Jasper Staadegaard and managing director Wilko in 't Anker.

INNOCY operates in five domains: Asset Management, Technology & Automation, Project Management, Safety and Data & Information. Our activities in these domains consist of advising clients such as Rijkswaterstaat, large provinces and municipalities, as well as contractors. In short, all contractors in the Netherlands," says Staadegaard. "For instance, we are now working with the VeenIX consortium on a project on the A9 Badhoevedorp. We are fully responsible for asset management, from the start of the tender to the opening permit. This certainly is a prestige project. Other projects we are working on include the BAAK project on the Blankenburg connection, Levvel on the Afsluitdijk, and we are involved in the tender for the A27 South project."

Sustainable infrastructure

At INNOCY, we find it important to be able to cover the full lifecycle of a project or process, on the side of the client as well as on the contractor side, says In 't Anker. "In this respect, we are noticing an increased focus on everything that is related to sustainability. On the one hand, this is because governments themselves are putting more emphasis on sustainability, but on the other hand we ourselves also want to challenge the market to come up with fresh ideas and suggestions for the most sustainable realisation of tunnels or other structures. Regardless of whether it is stated as a requirement or appreciated beforehand, we do like to contribute our knowledge to designing projects to be as sustainable as possible. And because we are often involved from the early stages, we can also actively think along and steer this process. For instance, the use of solar panels to power lighting or fans in tunnels, but also by choosing more environmentally-friendly markings or paints. And this is what we do in all the five domains in which we are active, all aimed at keeping The Nederland accessible, liveable and safe."

INNOCY is also represented at InfraTech. "During the trade fair, we will be happy to discuss the current wishes and requirements in the market, as well as the areas in which we as INNOCY can offer added value," says Staadegaard. "We present ourselves to the general public as a party that not only assists clients and contractors with overarching advice in the five domains as mentioned, but we also take responsibility for handling matters in a smarter, more efficient and sustainable manner. We work hands-on from a technical point of view. Visitors to our stand also have a chance to win a free asset management quick scan of their organisation. In short, plenty of reasons to visit us during InfraTech 2023."
