ICT Group strengthens position in logistics market with acquisition of Modality

Modality, based in Barendrecht, is a leading player in the field of IT systems for intermodal container logistics. The company has a strong reputation and has gained a leading position in the market over the past 28 years. Modality's software supports transport management (TMS) and container terminal operations (TOS), including many integrated interfaces with key players in the intermodal chain, such as sea terminals, shipping companies, customs and Portbase. Modality’s client base includes many inland terminals as well as leading barge, rail and truck operators. By improving processes and making them transparent, Modality raises the level of data provision to its customers. In this way, operational issues are converted into innovative software solutions.

With the acquisition of Modality, ICT Group strengthens its leading position in the logistics chain between seaport and hinterland, creating a unique competitive advantage in the logistics sector. Modality's solutions fit seamlessly into the portfolio of the ICT Logistics division of ICT Group. The current owners of Modality will continue to lead the company under the flag of ICT Group.
