Many organisations have robust IT security in place but do not yet have the same level of insight into their operational technology (OT). As a result, it is often unclear which risks are present, which measures are already effective and where the greatest opportunities for improvement lie.

The OT Cybersecurity Maturity Quick Scan provides an accessible and pragmatic first step towards a more secure and mature OT environment.

With this Quick Scan, we assess the current maturity of your OT cybersecurity. You gain insight into strengths, deviations from best practices and concrete improvement measures that directly contribute to increasing your digital resilience.

Who is this Quick Scan for?

The OT Cybersecurity Maturity Quick Scan is suitable for organisations that:

  • want to understand the current state of their OT cybersecurity;
  • want to improve OT cybersecurity systematically;
  • want to align management, IT and OT on cyber risks;
  • are looking for a well-founded starting point for further investment and improvement initiatives;
  • want to prepare for increasing legal and regulatory requirements, such as the Dutch Cybersecurity Act (Cbw).

What does the Quick Scan involve?

The Quick Scan consists of four straightforward steps:

1. Preparation

We get to know your organisation, discuss the context of your OT environment and agree which stakeholders will take part in the interviews.

2. Interviews

During an interview session lasting no more than half a day, we speak with key people within the organisation, such as the OT manager, OT engineer and IT manager. We assess the current situation, processes and security measures within the OT environment.

3. Analysis and reporting

The information gathered is analysed using recognised OT cybersecurity guidelines and best practices. The results are presented in a concise report covering:

  • strengths;
  • key areas requiring attention;
  • identified deviations;
  • concrete quick wins;
  • recommended next steps.

4. Presentation of the results

The findings are presented to management and the relevant stakeholders, together with practical recommendations for improving OT cybersecurity in a focused manner.

What are the benefits?

Following the Quick Scan, your organisation will have:

  • a clear picture of its current OT cybersecurity maturity;
  • insight into the most significant risks and opportunities for improvement;
  • clear priorities for the next steps;
  • a well-founded basis for decision-making and investment;
  • greater control over the relationship between IT and OT security.
