Do visit our stand and see how Smart City Control works during a demonstration. Smart City Control is a solution based on the Dynamic Traffic Management Open Platform (DVMOP). This solution helps local and regional authorities translate their mobility policies into concrete, dynamic traffic management based on their chosen prioritisation of traffic management objectives. This enables highway authorities to put these policies directly into practice and adjust them as required. From mobility policy to automated control: network management in practice
How does a city make the transition from traditional traffic management to integrated urban management? In this lecture, we will demonstrate how policy objectives are translated into control indicators, which are then used to automatically manage the network in order of priority. Using a concrete example, we will show how policy decisions are not only formulated but also directly implemented within the network. Participants will gain an insight into the practical approach, the lessons learnt and the value of integrated urban management at operational, tactical and strategic levels. From day-to-day traffic management to evidence-based decisions regarding quality of life, safety and future mobility challenges.
