Intermodal TMS: integrated planning across all modalities
The Intermodal Transport Management System (TMS) supports the planning, execution and monitoring of intermodal transport within a single, integrated system. Using intelligent algorithms, the TMS calculates the optimal route for containers and trailers based on transit time, costs and CO₂ emissions.

TOS: (customised) automation of the entire terminal operation
The Terminal Operating System (TOS) digitalizes the complete terminal operation and replaces error-prone, manual processes with one integrated system. From booking orders and registering activities to unloading vessels, stacking containers, and sending status updates.
By centrally supporting processes and information flows and providing real-time insight, not only does terminal operation become more efficient and reliable, but the broader supply chain also benefits from better coordination and transparency. The TOS is configured to match the unique processes of each terminal.
SmartECS: central control of all terminal equipment
SmartECS is a flexible, state-of-the-art Equipment Control System for the central control of terminal equipment. The system provides manufacturer-independent communication between the Terminal Operating System and both the mobile and fixed equipment on the terminal, such as cranes and vehicles.
During Multimodal, we will demonstrate SmartECS using a physical twin: the ICT Container Terminal, built with LEGO Technic. This demo allows us to realistically simulate the behavior of equipment and show how SmartECS controls, tests and optimizes equipment movements in a controlled, physical environment.
