In 2025, ICT Group was certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the third time in a row. This international recognition is granted by an independent organisation that surveys employee engagement and satisfaction worldwide. ICT Group participated in the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Germany, Portugal and Sweden.

Great Place To Work (GPTW) is an organisation with more than 10,000 member companies worldwide. GPTW conducts validated independent research into employee engagement. GPTW works with the Trust Index, which measures employee trust, pride and enjoyment. It shows how an organisation scores on the bar of good employment practices using a standard questionnaire with 60 statements and several open questions. The survey gives scores on five universal values: Respect, Honesty, Credibility, Pride and Companionship.

Results

‘The great thing about this survey is that the results are based entirely on the opinions of the employees themselves,’ says Ellen te Kloeze, HR Director at ICT Group. ‘After all, it's the employee's opinion that counts. ICT Group has achieved a Trust Index of 78% for three years in a row. That's a great score. Approximately 80% of ICT Group employees participate in the survey each year, and in its first year, ICT Group immediately received the GPTW certificate. A few companies achieved this right away. It's definitely something to be proud of.’

Consistently high level

In addition to the Trust Index, the general Great Place To Work “feeling” is important. ‘The score for this has also been high for three years in a row, at 81%. So, the most important scores have been consistently high for three years in a row, at 78% and 81%,’ Ellen explains. ‘The GPTW organisation has double-checked this, because it is very remarkable for a company to achieve such a consistent score. But everything added up.’

Ellen believes that the high score is very positive for ICT Group. ‘We have grown considerably in recent years. This happened not only organically but also through the acquisition of several companies, which were integrated into our organisation. When you continue to achieve such great results, it feels like a huge compliment.’

Recognition

One area where ICT Group scores highly is that employees feel they can be themselves at the company. ‘That's really great for our organisation.'

If you can be yourself, you enjoy your work and get the best out of yourself. You don't have to bend over backwards to fit in with us. You can be authentic.

'That ties in nicely with our labour market campaign “Be you, be one of us”. Another topic that rated well is that you're allowed to make mistakes. That's part of the job and you're not immediately held responsible.’

In the GPTW survey, employees also indicate that they feel comfortable at ICT Group regardless of their background, gender, culture or religion. ‘That is also crucial for an organisation. You can strive for something like that, but this survey shows that it is actually the case in practice. In the Netherlands alone, for example, around thirty different nationalities work at ICT Group. This is therefore a very important aspect for us.’

Development

Employees regularly recommend ICT Group as a potential employer within their network. ‘This shows that employees feel at home with us,’ says Ellen proudly. ‘ICT Group does its utmost to assign employees to projects that suit them and where they can fully develop their talents. In addition, employees indicate that our company offers sufficient development opportunities through the use of all the training opportunities on offer.’

Findings

ICT Group takes the findings seriously, says Ellen. "The results are discussed in the countries and business units and, where possible, translated into actions. We listen carefully to our employees. Last year, for example, the GPTW survey showed that there is a great need for a good telephone and fitness scheme in the Netherlands. As soon as the opportunity arose, we adjusted the telephone scheme in our terms of employment and also introduced company fitness. Our employees also wanted to be kept well informed about the ins and outs of our company. That is why we offer online webinars and live events in which the management keeps employees informed about the company's strategy and results.

GPTW 2026

Ellen is already busy preparing for the 2026 GPTW survey. ‘Even with such great scores, we're not going to sit back and relax, of course,’ she says with a smile. ‘Our employees are our priority, so every opinion counts.’
