ICT Group to replace automation at 15 sewage plants
- 7 June 2018
The current automation system of HHNK's sewage treatment plants is 15 to 20 years old, is dated and needs to be replaced for several reasons.
Gradual approach
An important task of Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier (HHNK) is to transport and treat wastewater. This is done using sewage pumping stations, sewage treatment plants and a Sludge Drying Installation (SDI). With this contract, HHNK's process installations for the sewage plants will be replaced in phases over five years.
Advantages
A new ICT system offers several advantages. It also makes it easier to steer towards different goals. Think, for example, of saving energy while maintaining high treatment efficiency. A new system can also communicate more easily with other systems such as level pumping stations or the sewage pumping stations of HHNK and the municipalities.
Ready for the future
HHNK judged that ICT Group has the project approach, cybersecurity and information provision well in order. The water board also showed great appreciation for the detailed description of the test and calamity procedure, conversion plan and the fact that ICT Group can meet the requested performance requirements without reservations.
Proud
Jos Blejie, CEO ICT Group is proud that ICT Group was awarded the contract. "As a total supplier of technology and services, ICT has a strong position in the water market. We always deliver the highest achievable added value to our clients."
