ICT Improve chosen as the government's preferred test training provider
- 1 September 2025
The tender, requested by the Dutch Tax Administration, stems from the government-wide need of the participating organizations for training in the field of IT and IV (information provision). The contract covers all ministries and affiliated organisations such as the Ministry of Defence, the Tax Administration and the Netherlands Institute for Social Research, as well as the Police, the House of Representatives, the Council of State and the Court of Audit.
In its award decision, the central government praises the excellent professional expertise of ICT Improve, the high quality of training courses and trainers and the professional services and associated processes. The offer was rated as 'best tender based on best value for money'.
"We are convinced that with our wide range of training courses and our practice-oriented approach, we are optimally in line with the needs of the government," says Pieter Withaar, unit manager of ICT Improve, the training branch within ICT Group. "This allows us to ensure that the most effective learning and development methods are available to all government officials."
Open registration and in-company training
ICT Improve, part of ICT Group, has been the training provider for IT professionals for more than 27 years. With its own trainers and self-developed teaching materials, ICT Improve provides a wide range of training courses at the intersection of people, process and technology. The training offer in the context of the won tender includes both open registration and in-company training in the field of testing with regard to organization, techniques, strategy and approach.
"As the best Agile/Scrum and Test Educator in the Netherlands, we are ready for this important assignment"
Identifying learning needs
"We are proud that our expertise is being recognised. As the best Agile/Scrum and Test Educator in the Netherlands (2024, Computable), we are ready for this important assignment," says Benjamin Timmermans, account manager training at ICT Improve. "Our strength lies, among other things, in the combination of professional knowledge and didactic ability."
The assignment means the possibility of expanding ICT Improve's training offer with more locations, higher frequency and more room for advanced training. ICT Improve will immediately start making an inventory of the learning needs of the more than ninety participating government organizations. "A big challenge," says Withaar, "but we have the confidence and the capacity to support many IT and IT officials in the government in their professional development over the next four years."
