On 27 November, the ICT Knowledge Hub hosted an open session on “AI Assistance for Software Quality,” welcoming participants from a wide range of companies and organisations. The evening brought together professionals from testing, development, requirements engineering and architecture, all interested in how AI is shaping modern quality practices.

The session focused on sharing knowledge and exploring practical examples. Through several demos, attendees examined how AI can support activities such as generating test plans from requirements, creating unit tests and assisting with browser-based testing. The “Quick Brew Coffee Shop” demo offered a concrete look at how AI interprets specifications, identifies edge cases and reasons about scenarios that typically require significant manual effort.

Throughout the evening, participants actively discussed both opportunities and limitations. Questions around trust, human oversight and responsible use of AI were frequent conversation starters. The topic of how to approach testing AI systems themselves also surfaced, adding another interesting angle to the broader theme of software quality in an AI-enhanced landscape.

A message that resonated strongly was:
AI does not replace testers — it expands what they can explore.

The atmosphere was open, interactive and reflective, with people from different organisations exchanging perspectives, experiences and ideas. It was a clear example of what the Knowledge Hub aims to facilitate: learning together and deepening our understanding of emerging topics.

AI Assistance for Software Quality

Looking Ahead: Next Knowledge Hub Session

Our next open session will continue the exploration of AI, this time focusing on interviews and requirements — and how AI can support early-phase analysis and communication.
This session will take place on 20 January 2026 at our office in Eindhoven.
