ICT Group has been selected as one of the successful bidders by Water Authority Vechtstromen following a tender process. And has been awarded a framework agreement for the provision of process automation (PA) services for wastewater treatment plants and associated pumping stations.

The agreement has an initial term of four years, with an option to extend for another four years. Within this agreement, ICT Group is one of three selected system integrators, alongside Hollander Techniek and Moekotte.

Support during large-scale modernisation

Over the coming years, Water Authority Vechtstromen faces a significant replacement and renovation challenge for its wastewater treatment facilities. A key element of this is the modernisation of electrical and process automation systems. These systems are essential for the control, monitoring and information management of the treatment process.

This operation takes place over a period of approximately seven years. During this transition, ICT Group, together with the two partners, will provide important support on the existing installations.

Continuity and further development

Under the framework agreement, ICT Group is responsible for maintaining the current process automation systems. This includes routine maintenance, updates and any necessary modifications to the existing installations during the migration phase.

This approach enables Water Authority Vechtstromen to ensure the continuity and reliability of its treatment processes, while simultaneously working towards a future-proof digital infrastructure.

Guido van Dinther, Business Unit Manager Water, Infrastructure & Energy at ICT Group: “This framework agreement underlines Water Authority Vechtstromen’s confidence in our expertise in process automation within the water sector. We are proud to contribute, as one of the selected partners, to both the continuity of existing systems and the transition to a future-proof automation environment. In a multi-year programme such as this, a reliable and flexible partnership is essential.”

Contribution to digital transformation

With this assignment, ICT Group is making a significant contribution to the digital transformation of the Dutch water sector. The increasing complexity of process automation and the growing demands in the field of cybersecurity require specialist expertise and long-term collaboration.

ICT Group looks forward to working together with the water authority and the other partners to successfully deliver this multi-year programme and to contribute to a sustainable and secure water chain.
