ICT Automotive has contributed to the technical development and system integration of a project around defence off-road vehicles, in which civilian vehicle platforms have been adapted for military deployment.

A Dutch vehicle manufacturer has integrated a series of vehicles for use within the armed forces on behalf of an international OEM. The project focused on the further development of a so-called rolling chassis: a basic vehicle with powertrain and cockpit, which was locally adapted into several military variants, including an infantry version, medical version and logistical configuration.

Meeting operational requirements

During the development phase, prototypes were built and tested to meet operational requirements such as helicopter transport, modular deployment and occupant protection. The technical scope included the integration of roll cage structures, dedicated seating and storage systems, military communication and radio systems, and modular protection packages.

In addition, a production site was partly adapted to act as a center of excellence for defense integration projects, including engineering and long-term lifecycle support. The project combines civil vehicle technology with military requirements in terms of flexibility, reliability and maintenance within the defence domain.

Reliable partner

With more than 45 years of experience, ICT Group has built a strong reputation as a reliable partner for innovative and secure software solutions. With expertise in system integration, prototype development and military subsystems, ICT Automotive supported the realization of a modular rolling chassis and the set-up of long-term lifecycle support within the defense domain. This project illustrates ICT Group's commitment to innovation and security in the defence sector.
