To help improve service reliability and reduce operational costs, we supported a mobility service provider in taking the first steps toward predictive maintenance for their fleet. The challenge was to move from reactive maintenance to a data-driven approach without disrupting daily operations. We designed a central embedded unit that collects sensor data directly from the vehicle and securely transmits it to a backend platform via mobile connectivity.
Real-Time monitoring and proactive alerts
The system continuously monitors operational parameters and compares them against predefined thresholds. When values move outside their normal range, operators are automatically alerted via email and SMS, enabling timely intervention. This allows maintenance teams to act before failures occur, increasing availability and safety across the fleet.
The project demonstrates how connected vehicles and embedded intelligence can transform maintenance strategies in smart mobility environments. It provides a scalable foundation for fleet operators aiming to improve efficiency, reliability, and service quality through data-driven insights.
