Ton van Gessel and Mark Witters, security consultants at ICT Group, show in their presentation "OT-Monitoring with a big M" how to expose and resolve vulnerabilities within industrial automation with a process-based approach to scanning, monitoring and security. Permanent monitoring is central to this. Not only are hackers looking for new ways to penetrate IT and OT environments every day, those environments themselves are constantly changing. Just one new sensor can be enough to bypass all existing security measures. Monitoring provides real-time monitoring of network traffic and the security posture of the OT environment.
