Protecting vehicles and road users from cyber threats in accordance with UNECE WP.29

The modern car is connected to the internet left, right, and centre. Connectivity is becoming normal and makes driving more comfortable by the day. At the same time, this means that increasingly high demands are made on the security of data connections, in-vehicle software, and data traffic between the vehicle and its environment. We offer solutions for optimum safety and security of vehicles and road users.

Technical integration of security solutions 

We provide secure connections between the vehicle and the external world in the entire car connectivity chain. We perform risk analyses regarding all underlying processes, take care of the technical implementation in accordance with UNECE WP.29, and provide engineering services within large development projects.  

This way, we guarantee the authenticity of the in-vehicle software and the data that the vehicle receives and sends. We secure ECUs, Electronic Control Units, with validated digital keys for bi-directional connections with the OEM for software updates and status information. This includes the ‘invisible’ threats posed by hackers, break-in detection, reports to the OEM, on-board Wi-Fi or Bluetooth intrusion, and the odometer that we protect from fraud by means of cryptographic algorithms. All of these solutions ask for specific expertise in the area of automotive cyber security. We have the skill to provide added value to any OEMs who intends to improve the safety of their vehicles and road users in this time of car connectivity.
